On Friday, January 29th, Jake and I headed out to Las Cruses, New Mexico to visit my Grandmother (on my mother’s side) and Aunt Dee.
We arrived Friday night around 8:00pm their time. We grabbed something to eat and headed home to get some shut eye.
Saturday we went to the farmer’s market. There were a lot of great crafts and musicians but I was really hoping for some great produce. Unfortunately, it was not really the season.
After the farmer’s market we headed to the Veteran Memorial. I was excited to see some roadrunners, beautiful scenery and of course my grandfather’s brick at the memorial. I was disappointed that a couple of kids sort of ruined it as they played football in the memorial field and were cursing at their bad plays. Have some respect.
We then went to La Posta for lunch. The food was really great!! The restaurant is known for serving famous people like Billy the Kid, Kit Carson, General Douglas McArthur and Pancho Villa. It had great atmosphere in a cool little town.
Grammy Rachel get ready cause I am coming to you next!
